We’re a small, family-run café and takeaway right in the heart of Lerwick, and if you’ve ever popped in for a bite, you’ll know we’re all about homemade food, proper homebakes, strong coffee, and plenty of laughs along the way
A familiar face in town
We’ve been part of Lerwick town centre for long enough now that some of our regulars don’t even need to order anymore.We see them walking through the door and just start making “the usual” .That’s the kind of place we are. Familiar, friendly, and full of good routines.
What people are loving right now
Right now, it’s all about our Sassermaet rolls and steak rolls, along with our fresh homemade soups and scones (best enjoyed warm, obviously). And if you know, you know, the German Mandarin Cake has definitely earned its reputation
Staff favourites
If you ask us what we’d pick? It has to be a chicken mayo roll with crispy bacon. Salty, creamy, crunchy perfection. Simple, but unbeatable.
What makes us different
Everything we serve is made from scratch, and wherever we can, we use local suppliers. But more than that, we like to think the café feels less like a stop for food and more like catching up with friends you haven’t seen in a while.
Being part of the community
The best part of what we do is simple, the people. Seeing the same friendly faces week after week, hearing the stories, sharing a laugh, and having the café filled with that everyday buzz of local life.

For Scotland Loves Local Week, we’re putting local front and centre. We’ll be celebrating our suppliers, our customers, and everything that makes this community what it is. Expect plenty of homemade treats, fresh scones, and a very well-stocked counter
