Outdoor Trek is celebrating its 10th birthday this week. Fraser started Outdoor4Kids from his home in Whalsay, where he was selling kids clothing from his kitchen. Business started to grow so the decision was made to move to a portacabin and visit halls on a regular basis to sell goods. Eventually Fraser took the plunge to open his first shop on Commercial street and the rest as they say, is history!
Outdoor Trek not only sells kids outdoor clothing. They stock many high quality, well know names such as, Berghaus, Keen, Jack Wolfskin and Rab, to name but a few.
It is not only clothing they sell either, there is lots of outdoor equipment stocked at the shop too.
Did you know, if there is a particular item you are looking for and Outdoor Trek is a stockist of it then Fraser will order it in for you. Online shopping can be useful but when trying to find clothing that fits correctly there is nothing quite like been able to try it on.
Been able to go to your local shop and try clothes on is a big bonus. It beats waiting for it to arrive, it not been the correct size or not as described online then having the hassle of trying to sell it on or returning it. Buying local is basically hassle-free shopping.
