Logan's love for baking started early, helping his dad bake at home and later working in various restaurants across Lerwick as a young teen. Now, he’s transformed his lifelong passion into a thriving business that’s gaining loyal customers all over Shetland
Zetland Bakery offers a range of treats, from traybakes such as brownies, and blondies to cookies and fresh breads used in his sandwiches and wraps. Logan’s baked goods are already available at local outlets, including Don Leslie's, Sound Service Station, the Co-op in Aith, and the Walls shops, bringing a taste of his products to customers all around Shetland.
Logan's commitment to quality shines through as he sources local ingredients whenever possible, championing the fresh, rich flavours of Shetland produce.
Running Zetland Bakery is a full-time commitment for Logan, who single-handedly manages everything from baking and packaging to delivering and advertising.
Choosing The Garret as the bakery’s location has proven to be ideal. Centrally located in Shetland's busiest area, it not only brings in foot traffic but also provides a perfect base for distributing his goods to local retailers.
The support from the community has been overwhelming, and Logan is thrilled with the reception. He believes Zetland Bakery fills a gap in the market, offering fresh, locally-made products that resonate with customers looking for high quality and great taste.
With demand from other local businesses to stock his products continuing to grow, Logan has big plans for the future.
Next year, he hopes to expand the bakery by opening a small shopfront. His vision is to sell his popular treats alongside artisan bread, croissants, pies, and sponges.
Logan’s journey with The Zetland Bakery is just beginning, but he’s already made an impact. Logan’s commitment to using local ingredients, his hard work, and his passion for baking have quickly made The Zetland Bakery a valued addition to Lerwick Town Centre.
Keep an eye out for more delicious creations from Logan as he continues to bake up something special for Shetland.
