CASE Shetland was set up as an alternative to the larger engineering practices which have offices on the isles. There was a growing demand from the private sector for a engineering consultancy which was willing to focus its attention on the residential market, as house building on the isles continued to boom. CASE Shetland appreciates that for the Customer every job is important, no matter what size it may be. Our aim is to deliver a consistently high service right across the board, from small extensions to large new builds.
The ethos of the company is to provide added value wherever possible. Managing Director Ewen Adamson gained a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering with Architectural Design therefore understands the importance of integration between the professions. A construction project should not be looked upon from purely an architectural perspective or an engineering one, it should be a collaborative effort. We aim to work with the Architect/Agent from an early stage to ensure that the engineering input enhances the overall project, rather than just being an add on at the end.
