Established in 2006 as the Shetland Fudge Company, current owners Nicola and Magnus took the reins in August 2014 to challenge their ability to achieve a dream of owning a successful business. Nicola started working for the business at the age of 14 before leaving to study for a degree in Business Management.
The Shetland Fudge Company has now developed into a premium bespoke chocolate company with all their fudge, truffles, tablet, Puffin Poo, preserves and` gourmet Mallow being made entirely by hand. They focus on using the finest ingredients, local produce wherever possible, and create by hand their own additive-free recipes.
The new Island Larder premises opened in its current location in June 2020, offering the fines quality foods, freshest local produce and of course, the full range of Shetland Fudge products.
The continual enthusiasm from the owners has led to new and exciting services, including chocolate workshops, educational trips and Birthday parties.
The core focus of the business is the pride and passion that goes into everything they do, from training staff and displaying creations, to making irresistible goodies.
