Businesses in Lerwick town centre decorated their windows with a festive theme to encourage the public to vote for them before 7th December in the Living Lerwick Best town centre Christmas Window Display competition.

The public have now cast their vote and George Robertson Ltd and Westside Pine have come out on top with the same number of votes.

Janet Davidge of Westside Pine said: “We are honoured to get the trophy and absolutely delighted.”

Anna Moar of George Robertson Ltd, said: We are delighted to be joint winners with Westside Pine! Me and Elaine put a lot of effort in this year and we are glad folk like it. Thanks to everyone who took time to vote.”

Cynthia Adamson, Chair of Living Lerwick said: “Businesses have put a lot of effort into their window displays this year, so the standard is very high. The results were very close, with Ninian a whisker away from the top spot with only one less vote than the winners. Other notable contenders were J G Rae Ltd and High Level Music who both received a lot of votes from the public.”
