The vessels are open to the public from Wednesday 7th to Friday 9th May, daily from 11am to 5pm. Don’t miss this unique chance to step aboard and experience history up close.
Commemorative events this week include:
Wednesday 7th May, 6.30pm
Parade from the harbour to Lerwick Town Hall led by the Lerwick Pipe Band, followed by a civic reception.
Thursday 8th May – VE Day
• 11:00am – Memorial service at County War Memorial, Hillhead
• 3:00pm – Service at Shetland Bus Memorial, Scalloway
• 7:30pm – Evening concert at St Columba’s Kirk with the Norwegian Naval Band (free entry, donations welcome)
