LOCUS

Following the recent successful ballot to renew the town centre Business Improvement District mandate for another five years, the organisation is now seeking people to join the team going forward.

Current BID Management company, Realta Events Management, will be stepping down from the role in October, and an invitation to tender has been issued for a self-employed individual or organisation with suitable skills to take on the role.

This is a flexible, part-time post, with the contract holder required to manage and plan their own time and priorities based on the Business Plan objectives, guidance from Directors and set budgets.

A copy of the tender document can be requested at [email protected].

The closing date for applications is Friday 25th September.

With a strong support to deliver BID activities for another five years, Living Lerwick is also seeking to boost numbers on the Board of Directors. Any member business within the BID area may nominate a representative to the Board. Full meetings are held quarterly, with the opportunity for Directors to be more involved in individual projects where their time allows. This is an unpaid, but rewarding role where individuals can bring ideas and inspiration to help promote and celebrate Lerwick town centre.

Any members wishing to nominate a Director should contact Chair, Steve Mathieson, at [email protected].
