The Winter activities will get off to a magical start with a family parade led by Peerie Foxes. Come and join us!
Saturday 24th November at 3.30pm will mark the start of the Living Lerwick winter activities. The Peerie Foxes nursery children will switch on the new Christmas lights in sequence by waving their wands as they pass. They will be followed by the Lerwick 2012 Jarl squad, the brass band and Santa in a classic car.
The starting point is the Queens Hotel and the procession will travel up Commercial Street as far as Cee & Jays. Everyone is welcome to join us.
On 1st, 8th and 22nd December, Santa and his elf will be in their grotto at 43 Commercial Street between 12 and 4pm. Ben Mullay will be taking photos of children on request on all of the days. Prints will be available in The Camera Centre. If you would like your child to have their photo taken, please tell the elf.
On 1st December, the first of the 24 street advent calendar boxes in shop windows will be opened. Details of which shop will be opening their box on which day will be posted on the Living Lerwick Facebook page. The businesses will choose how to display their boxes.
