One of Living Lerwick's key projects to attract more people to the Town Centre is a regular street market for the sale of Shetland produce. Following discussions with Shetland Islands Council, Harrison Square has been adopted as a sheltered, car free area for a trial market of ten stalls.

This week a sample of the proposed stall, in blue and white stripes, was put up in Harrison Square to test suitability and approved by the Living Lerwick team who plan to open the market in time for their Fair Isle Festival which runs from 4th to 11th August.
